Outline

The "GHIBLI EXPO," held at the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture) in 2015, was a great sensation. This exhibition has just finished a tour of eleven venues around Japan, adding attractive exhibits such as "Studio Ghibli's Flying Machines" and "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: The World of Ohmu". The GHIBLI EXPO is returning to Aichi as a culmination of the past five years. This is the final opportunity to take a look at Studio Ghibli's almost 35-year history before it is housed in the "Ghibli Large Warehouse" at Ghibli Park, scheduled to open in 2022. This retrospective overviews Studio Ghibli from "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" to Ghibli Park through posters, leaflets, production materials, and planning boards, including previously unreleased materials.
